(Tate T. Roman B. Quentin B.) The Main Conflict in The Hobbit

        The main conflict in the Hobbit is Man vs Man.  This is because the Dwarfs and The Hobbit are going up against a dragon, but the dragon can speak.  The Characters in the book are also struggling with being captured by Goblins, and Bilbo got captured by a creature named Gollum.   They have had to fight the goblins, trolls, and he had to escape Gollum which doesn't help them complete their quest which is their main conflict.  This is making their conflict more complicated.  More Struggles that Bilbo has had was when the Dwarfs came to his house unexpected and he handled it.  One more is when the Dwarfs had left and Bilbo had to run to an Inn very far away to catch up to them. 

         I think that they won't solve the conflict without more harm.  I think that they will run into more creatures on the way.  When they meet them they might have to hurt them to get past them.  During the quest to get the treasure from the dragon they might have to kill him to get to the treasure.  I feel that Bilbo will do something in the end that will cause great harm to him and everyone else.  Bilbo and the Dwarfs have survived great things already and they will probably get through it fine in the end.  I think that through everything they are going through in the end Bilbo will end in his Hobbit hole safe from the dangers, but he will still want adventure after what he went through.
