J.R.R. Tolkien (Marissa F.)

J.R.R. Tolkien was born January, 3, 1892, in Bloemfontein, South, Africa. He studied at Exeter College and taught at Oxford University. He has written The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogy. His full name is John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. It took 12 years to write The Hobbit and 12 years to write the Lord of the Rings. He might have wrote The Hobbit to mix fairy tale creatures with symbols of his own live that he has. Or maybe he wrote it to entertain his kids. All I can say is thank you J.R.R. Tolkien for writing both The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings.
