Marissa- Bilbo is trying to not getting eaten by a mentally insane hobbit, Gollum.
Abby- I believe the conflict is man vs man because Bilbo is trying to riddle his way to freedom against Gollum.
Nicolas- Right now Bilbo is having to solve riddles against Gollum or he'll be eaten so I think the conflict is man vs man
Michael - The initial conflict is that the dwarf's home was taken away by a dragon so they are trying to take it back but unfortunately they are captured by goblins with Bilbo solving riddles against Gollum.
What events have complicated your conflict further?
Marissa- The riddles that Bilbo is giving Gollum are hard and making Gollum more annoyed.
Abby- The fact that Gollum has Bilbo use riddles to reserve freedom. Also, the dwarves aren't there to help him.
Nicolas- Like I said earlier Bilbo is having to solve riddles or he will be eaten .
Do you think that your characters will solve the conflict without causing more harm?
Marissa- I think that Bilbo will realize what the ring does and use it to protect him.
Abby- I think that Bilbo could possibly cause more harm trying to figure out how the ring works, but when he figures out how to use it he can use it as a defence mechanism.
Nicolas- He will probably put on the ring at some point again later on in the story, but when that happens he will be lost or he will try using it to escape from somewhere else.
Michael - how are they going to kick a dragon out without it moving next town over.
